The National Agency for the Security of Information Systems (ANSSI) is a French service created by decree in July 2009 . This service, with national competence, reports to the Secretary General of Defence and National Security (SGDSN), the authority that assists the Prime Minister in the performance of his duties in the field of defence and national security. The ANSSI replaces the Direction centrale de la sécurité des systèmes d’information, which was created by decree in July 2001.
